Paul was commissioned by Real Homes magazine to photograph this open-plan kitchen, living and dining room for publication in their magazine, as well as for web use. The room was created by removing the rear walls of the original kitchen and dining rooms, and constructing a larger room on the back, with a full wall of bi-fold doors.
The commission required daytime, dusk and night photography to show off the extension over the course of a day. Paul was asked to photograph all aspects of the finished construction: the kitchen fittings, interior design, the roof, and the exterior landscaping. The brief from the client also involved making a portrait of the homeowner using the space.
