Birmingham Library

During construction of the new Library of Birmingham, Paul was lucky enough to be asked to climb to the very highest part of the roof (yes on top of that shiny gold blob on top) to photograph a super-high resolution 360 degree panorama of the city that viewers would be able to pan around, click on, and view close ups of key features.

The image represented an enormous technical challenge because the normal methods of creating a panorama of this type weren’t possible because of size of the roof on which Paul had to stand. The client was delighted with the end result, and it is still in use today, on an enormous touch screen inside that very same golden blob.
